A Malaysian daughter left the Internet in stitches after uploading a video of her dad carefully dressing up their family cat in a massage chair for a photo

In the caption of the video, TikTok user @DayahSazihan said people often ask her what her dad has been up to since his retirement as a police officer earlier this year.

She laughed and said, "This is my dad's new profession after retirement."

The video shows her dad carefully fixing a pair of sunglasses and a hat on their family cat, Abang Boboy, who is sitting surprisingly still and patient in their living room massage chair.

Dayah's dad can be seen smiling while complimenting the well-behaved feline, "Aren't you handsome?", before snapping a photo on his phone to be sent on WhatsApp.

The video garnered over 3.8 million views, with netizens laughing at Dayah's dad's adorable shenanigans and the cat's expression

"Your cat is being forced to work for a bowl of kibbles," commented a TikTok user.

"Your cat is so well-behaved," commented another, to which Dayah replied while laughing, "He's well-behaved there because he's chubby, he's stuck."

Another netizen said, "People who say they don't want to rear cats or don't like cats are always like this... Once they take care of one, they will love the cat like their own grandchild."

Dayah shared that her dad was indeed originally not a cat lover, but has since grown to love the company of their 33 cats at home

"If you'd like to know, my dad actually doesn't like cats, but because he spends most of his time at home now, you can see that he has grown fond of them.

"Even my mum has noticed the change. Now, both Mum and Dad takes care of the cats, while my siblings and I help during our free time," she told Harian Metro in an interview after the video went viral.

She added that her cats, especially Abang Boboy and Oyen, are exceptionally affectionate towards her parents.

"The cats are always manja in front of Mum and Dad. That's why you can see that Abang Boboy and Oyen will always follow my dad's wishes in the videos.

"These two cats seem to understand, and it's like Dad has changed careers now by becoming a photographer at home for his beloved animals," she joked again.
